    hi just wondering if any one has any info on how much power a 3 speed auto out of an ae71 4a motor can hold and what size converter they have?

    haha nah, i dunno man, i just cant see the point of using an auto gbox, any reason why you wanna use an auto one?

    as for power handling, i have no idea, autos are generally weeker than their manual equivilents arent they?

    I dont think anyones ever botherd using one to find out how strong they are.

    I think to answer your question you need to take that auto box out of your car, get a handy sledge hammer and wack the box till it cracks and multiply the number of wacks by the strength of the hits to get the crappyness of the auto.

    I'm not a big fan of autos either and unfortunately I don't have the answer for the post but my experience with autos is that they are generally harder to break than manuals and pretty awesome for drags but you do get a fair bit of loss due to their nature ie: An auto transfers its torque via fluid rather than a direct link.

    I used to run autos in my RS Turbo Liberty and there wasn't much that would beat it to 100km/h as there was no time lost changing gears. (continual acceleration)

    it almost done all i need is a auto flywheel and a 8 bolt flex plate and its off to the drags i hope
