    hey all,

I'm getting rid of my Celica (bent chassis... f**king dodgy wreckers)

just wondering as i will be most likely buying a KE70/AE71 soon. I'd like some help deciding on some parts that would be worth keeping for building a KE70/AE71 (I'm thinking of building it slightly differently)

i already know I'm keeping the gearbox, Diff, engine (don't know why but if i have nothing else to put in i might try it), Struts, Brakes, clutch master, brake master. and seats.

so any ideas on other parts worth putting in a KE70/AE71? or any thoughts on any of these conversions?

    any help would be Great!

do the seats fit in? keep them, a bit of welding and they'll fit in. steering wheel maybe? ke70 one is MASSIVE!...

    ummm......

you do realise you will think of 1000 things you should have kept as soon as its loaded onto the truck

    also, what model celica?

Your car is a RA60. Even if you don't use these things yourself, kept them to use or sell:

ID plate details (will say W56 or W57 etc)
    Complete diff
    tailshaft
    gearbox
    front struts and brakes
    clutch master
    brake master and booster
    coil and igniter (if electronic)
    alternator
    starter

Everything else can be sold individualy to another Celica owner, depends on how much time you got.

not sure if it is a W57. ill have a look at it maybe tonight. (where is it written on it??). but I'm pretty sure I'm keeping it sorry mate.

got any thoughts on the 21R-C into a KE/AE? i know it not the best engine but since i already have it.. it would be cheapest way of getting a LITTLE more power out of it. i think..

I think I've found a KE. gonna have a look tomorrow or Tuesday and see what they want for it.

The 21r would be something a little different. SHould be fairly torquey.
Keep LCA's as well, not as long as XT130 arms, but longer than stock ones.

I might even give the 21R-C all new gaskets and things before it goes in too. or wouldn't that be worth it price wise?

any ideas on using the gearbox too?

I'm thinking the main problems with that would be the gear-stick bit would be further back. and somehow trying to make a cross member.
