nice write up. i never thought to use that bolt hole as a reference!! hence the reason mine wasn't as neat.
props to you this will help all the KETO conversionists.
original hole for ae71
template i cut out of a old oil container, plastic then painted with flat black to that it coulc be scrashed threw in the inside for cutting
holes drill for the bolts and a series of smaller holes drilled around the mark, still needs to be rounded and smoothed with a round file
template bolted on to ae71, shows where it needs to be cut/drilled etc..
further explanation with ke70, only a sight fileing is needed now, have the master handy so you know exactly where more needs taking off, no point fileing like mad if you dont have to...

Man im glad i never had to deal with this stuff
the Ke guys really know what an engine converstion is about
Good stuff man
Well done man, Better than my half arsed job. Mine caught fire while i was drilling it.
Good Guide. Nice work with the template.
Just as a suggestion for an even neater result, use a hole saw. I cant recall what size it is 25mm or 32mm perhaps. Some paint on the exposed metal from cutting the hole, would be wise too to ensure it never rusts.
yes it would of been nice but i done have a metal hole saw and i dont know anyone who dose... drill and a file did the job, took a little while but i got there...
if any one needs pics give me a yell, didnt want to put too many up
and thanks for the props, hope it helps someone, if someone needs the template i made (not everyone has a ae71 handy) give me a yell and i can sent it... or you can just make one
ohh man thanks heaps, i was hoping you would throw something up in here after seeing those pics in your members ride thread

yeah im sending the template to the a bloke...
as i said if i had a hole saw i would of used one... but the same can be applyed with the saw...
if other people want a use of the template just give me a PM and you can use it next as i said some people dont have a ae71 to make one from.. but you could probaly make one from the pedal box just as easy, but you wouldnt have the bolt as a referance...
yeah we used a holesaw and it smoked heaps, didnt catch fire like GZE KE70's lol
good write up az
yeah you can do it either way, just depends on what you have on hand..
