black bonnet is not paint scheme, its fake carbon fibre. thats what makes it ricer

Actually, a black bonnet is not a fake carbon fibre bonnet. A black bonnet is a black bonnet because i like the way it looks. Are black guards fake carbon fibre guards? If I wanted to be a ricer I would send the bonnet to modi coat(capalaba) and have it coated in their fake carbon fibre coating(very realistic but also pointless). Not trying to be argumentative but just because somebody wants to paint their bonnet black does not necessarily make them a tryhard. Before my evo6 I had a 180sx(392rwhp) that looked completely stock from every angle but was fitted with all the performance bits I could afford. Just thought I might try something a little different this time. As for fitting guards before paint, thats a good point, but seeing as I have already committed to paint it I guess I will just have to colour match at a later date or(heaven forbid) paint them black. Wish I thought of that earlier. Anyway, point is performance is and always has been the focus. But that won't stop me painting it how I like, even if it gets me a "ricer" label.

i see your reasoning rio and i would agree if we were talking neons or 18inch cromies, but black bonnets is just styling. just like wheels, body kits and paint choice.
It does look good on the right car, and everybody is copying everybody.
Oh and the new thing seems to be drift charms, not 'new' but has evolved to train hanger rings. completely pointless but kind of cool and fun.
personally i like the soft teddy/character hanging by its neck.

Yeah that evo was my old clunker. Awesome car, my 180sx was faster(392rwhp), but the evo was just a more complete package. Sometimes i regret selling it but variety is the spice of life they say. So here i am with my $3000 sprinter with oxidized paint, wheezing carby pox ass donk, clapped out suspension, and nasty factory wheels that look like they'd be more at home on a tarago.. More excited than ever about owning a car. Should be a little gem by the time I'm finished, these little suckers are more fun than a dog with two tails... Just wish i bought one earlier.
