Past 2 days have been insane, well, the past 3 weeks really.. 7 days a week non-stop working late nights.
Engine actually headed up to the dyno, and found that the throttle bodies were out of adjustment. Some were open slightly, some closed. So that really fucked around with the TPS and idling. Dyno night 1 = fail.
Took off the quads, readjust/calibrate, back to the dyno, on she goes. Dyno goes decent, but the O2 sensor is broken, so we couldn't really map the fuel and such correctly, seems to be going alright, final rev up to 8500rpm sees it give us 143hp at the wheels on a ridiculously shit tune, and still safe.
Was supposed to be heading up to Barbagallos this Saturday for round 1 of the championship, but have unfortunately pulled out. After driving it around and having a few quick slides, it has way too many flat spots and dirty areas where the motor just dies for a bit, waaay to rich and with no barrometric correction and proper fuel map it just has no sort of life down below 5000rpm. Also feels quite laggy but kind of jumps to light speed after 5 and just hits 8500 insanely quick. Throttle cables are also rooted, so no controllable response there.
But yeah, that's the story so far, feels like an awesome engine to drive once it's completely tuned, then it'll make the full 150-160hp at the wheels, we've done the best so far to try and make it, but I'd rather not push it and kill the motor.
