My neighbours restore 30's fords, very nice cars. Pretty sure they have 3 of them now.
They also love their mustangs.
On some show like rides or chop shop they made a period correct roadster the way it wouldve been done in the 50's, chopped the roof dropped it low it even had a wooden floor, great looking stuff. but like beau said they had to use modern rubber, fuel, etc. so how period correct is it?
less talking more pics!
these things are kinda cool
i dont really see much use for them cept for cool factor
is there much use for them except for show?? (im not trying to sound like a jerk, im genuinly interested)
they look like they woudl be quite cheap to build (for a DIY'er), but from what you guys are saying about importing parts...sounds exxy...
big fan
Thats a sled or Kustom. NOT even apart of ROD era
i really dont see whats wrong with fibreglass in rodding.....
its not steel and its easier to work with (in many ways) but it also makes rodding more affordable. which is a big bonus to a community.
and i know a few guys who are running ls400 running gear (engine to diff).
alot of hot rods use a jaguar diff too.
yeah its not period correct. (unless thats the look your going for) but i dont see any problem with mixing parts.
many hot rods run a chev 5.7L too.
there are lots of problems with it that are way to big to go into and i fear it would wreck this thread and go over alot of peeps heads for me to get to into it.
Lets just say there is the real thing and then there is the other thing.. but what ever floats your boat. I got out of the Rod Scene to get away from the drama and here i find myself
