I just picked up my rat rod project cant wait to get started
Looks finished to me
yeah, im looking forward to his input if he posts
i dont really have much to say.. i feel rude speaking in this thread but i'll give a lil speal..Being one brought up on it the word Rat Rod is blasphemer. The purist like to refer to them as 'period correct' or just 'Hot Rods' cause basically this style is the OG style of Hot Rods this is how hot rods look when hot rodding started. Young guys like us after the war would build up these style rods as thats what they could afford and so on. Law enforcement would refer to this vehicles as Hot Rods.
If you want to get a feel for the lifestyle listen to the 'Hot Rod Lincoln' its a about a A model with a V12 Lincoln engine in it. Best song to show the attiudes and lifestyle of the era of these cars.
But the shit is rad! ive got a few and so does my brother.. and im rambling sorry..

yeah i dont claim to know that much about them.
But i think 'hot rod' has such a vast meaning to it these days, obviously its where the name started out.
I guess i call them rat rods because to me it defines them better, like if i go to a hot rod show i never see a gump arse lowdown rusty peice of shit.
All perfectly restored, with chromies.. and legal..
I respect that but its just not my style, but mabye i just go to the wrong ones since im out of the loop haha.
