Yo Dom, I'm still only running 6/4.5kg springs in my AE86 still.

Works well with TRD shocks I got from Ben ages and ages back. But yeah, it's comfy enough for street still, and works well for AHG days and such.

OK cool. Thanks for the feedback Phirom.
Sounds like 4.5 and 6 should be good.

I finally got off mt ass and did something on this.
Painted my front struts Matt Black.

    And then began assembling them.
40mm TRD spacer below new TRD yellow dampeners. T3 coil over kit and generic 8kg spring.

I need some new wheel bearings before the FC caliper kit goes on.
Also need to get some camber tops and RCA to finish them off.

I've ordered some Origin Trueno fenders. They shouldn't be too far away.
If they weather stay good I might actually get this thing done

I installed the coil overs today.
First I did a FC brake upgrade.
Almost complete, they just need RCA's.camber tops and new wheel bearings.
    Then on to the car.
Along with new braided brake lines.
Need to check the wheel fitment.
    Rotor clears easily.
    So does the strut.
This will be close, but will probably need a gentle massage.
