Hi all, im about to attempt a flat nose swap from a slanty Ae71 nose.

All panels and such are fine im sure, however the light mounts look like ill have some problems... it seems that where the flat nose lights mount normally, there is just empty space (ie no where to drill etc)

Here is what the two look like, the blue car is flat nosed and the red (mine) is the slanty one
You can see from the pics that the bits obviously will be hard to match up

Who has done this conversion before?
What did you do to put the lights in, i realise alot of people who have done this have just gone straight to circle lights so not sure how many have done this bit before.
Basically my only thought is to get a ke model radiator support panel and weld that in...

    Any info is helpful thanks

lol... yeah, theres no where to drill mate

Slanty lights have a massive gaping hole where the bolts should bolt up

yeah were looking into either a Alloy mounting plate, or getting the whole radiator support in.
Most likely the alloy plate, will probly be doing a few up for others to do the same conversion too.
Will see how it goes first tho
