yea get longer spacer or 2 or bunnings
i'm running Cusco camber tops on my coilovers with T3 upper bearing plate (on top of spring)
the tops use the spacer they came with, however the top still has up and down play and woith out the spacer it has no play but it sits on the spring hat/ bearing plate. so now when i drive i have obvious knocks at the front on both sides, more so on the right hand side, the strut top nut actually did up further on the left hand side so there is less play there.
now i have heard of this before but can't remember how the individual got around it. i 'm pretty sure its another spacer.
T3 tops with the T3 upper spring hat/bearing plate obviously doesn't have this concern.
any info appreciated

hmmm ifigured it would be something like that
cheers guys, obviously more common a problem than i initially thought
yes the t3 upper hats need to be machined to allow a spacer to sit inbetween that tranfsfers all the force into the bearing, instead of the surrounding metal
Got to washers for each side from hardware. Got noes which were slightly too tight . Then filed the insides to make them just fit on the shock strut. So there no way the washeres can wable around on jump up and down. Not that this would probably happen any way.
I think I had an issue like this with S13 gear and T3 strut tops.
However I'm not 100% sure what you are talking about. Just make sure that there is a spacer between the coilover tophat and strut top. So that the load from the top hat is pushing on the lip of the strut top spherical bearing. And there is enough clearance so that during susp movement no parts bump into each other.
