True that - my sill bears the scar.

Good Jack is a must - even a $120 supershit item will be a big help.
Impact Sockets - save your arse on many occasions when you round shit off.

I feel bad for bringing up all these old topics, but they're so good, keep em coming guys!

My addition - get rid of the mrs for less whining about car/her ratio and more cash! (recently did this, works a treat )

MEK aka plumbing priming fluid. (you can get clear stuff)
works great at removing gasket goo, silicone ect
just go over the surface with a scraper then tip a bit on a rag and give it a rub. comes straight off with little effort.

when you buy your sockets make sure you ONLY buy single hex sockets. you should never round a nut or bolt ever again

double hex = rounded bolt followed by swearing and then anger

    Buy lots of Beer.

It has an almost magical ability to make helpful people appear at your door, ready to help you sit there and look at your car and think up creative ways to destroy it, while it stits there on jack stands not starting.
