medwin im very interested as to why u think my rotors are going to add stress to my wheel bearings or stub axel please explain ?

my stock hub has been machined smaller so its also lighter
and the semi slick tyres i used to run on the car when i drove it everyday would produce more component stress than any thing else and yet i still had no problems ...they were potenza re540 215/50 r15

Fitting higher performance tyres and brakes may give you the ability to improve dramatically the performance of the car, but in doing so it is increasing the stresses transmitted throughout the car itself. Think of your stub axle as a pivot point, when braking heavily (which im sure will be needed with any 3s sprinter )everything on the 'outside' of the stub axle (so, wheels, rotors etc.) is effectively trying to stop turning, where everything on the 'inside' (so car itself) wants to continue, and has a greater sense of inertia acting on it. Adding to this the capabilities of the brakes yourself and i have both fitted and these effects are again increased. The wheel bearings on the sprinter were obviously not designed to take these amounts of increased loads, and that is obvious by the sheer size of them, and with these sorts of forces being transmitted through such an under-engineered component of the car it will eventually fail. Add to this the stresses put on those bearings when running huge camber and you're really asking a lot of a 24 year old corolla...

im not stupid as to how components are loaded but in my opinion the tyres would be the single biggest increase in load on these parts and i really dont think the brakes are going to add much load on the wheel bearings or stub axel more so castor rods get torn out from braking and ball joints and control arm bushes have a hard time from the amount of castor and camber ive got both of which arnt standard
