    Correct.

Though axles may not break from direct shear forces output from your engine, the axles will still endure a lot more fatigue (cyclic stresses) from general driving.

Slowly but surely they will fail.

i drove on a stock locked ae71 diff with a broken axle for a week. ripping many a single while i was at it.

the t-series is much stronger then stock s series, but as has been said depends how you drive.

The axle splines on S series and small T series (Zenki) axles are identical. And breaking axles at the spline is how I've broken every single (probably 6-7)welded S and T series diff I've had bar one. Only once have I had one fail by smashing the crown wheel and pinion gear.

So I'd say for locked skids, the strength difference between an S and T series is minimal.

The advantage of T series is the availablity of LSDs and the larger crown wheel, which means it is slightly stronger for general use. But when locked the crown wheel isn't the thing which fails.

As for driving for a week with a broken axle, you won't always be able to do that. It can break in many ways, and sometimes metal bits go right threw your whole diff, and can damage the crownwheel and pinion, and bearings. I would drive straight home if it happened, if I could.

you will break you axles one way or another

if you want to break axles then put in a rose jointed 5 link...

if you run bushed setup then your axles will last...

    EDIT:
and thats behind both 4age and 4ac...
