    Default s13 handling parts advice...

howdy all. Am considering an s13 with stock suspension, except coilovers.
am keen to get back into the occasional track day, what handling parts, (excluding swaybars, strut braces) would you recommend on a tightish budget.
.eg rear toe rods, hicas lock bar,ect,ect... or more the point perhaps, what out of all that gear can i do without but still be a nice slider.
    cheers in advance

sorry didn't make myself clear enough.
i understand what it all does, but more in terms of, if your car is lowered, it will put out the geometries of........so if you dont change (insert part here) it will cause you a great deal of dramas or unpredictability when driving hard/under load. ect.

for example is changing rear toe arms, camber arms + hicas lock bar a good enough rear setup ? ? is it all mandatory ?

    what about front ?

also are the 999automotive parts on ebay any good ? ?

    cheers guys.
hope that makes a bit more sense....

    Castor rods
    HICAS lock bar
    Solid cradle bushes
    Camber arms

    1000 bucks well spent.

Don't bother with swaybars while your learning to skid, stiff coilovers will be fine.

Maybe later go softer springs and bigger swaybars when you get more confident and have more power.

^yeah i thought they didnt look to crash hot. cheers for that mate.

but yeah basically i have had ae/ke's fully setup and have been sliding them for about 5 years ...i am no pro by any measures, but my goal is to be able to get one to feel similar/or as close to, on the track to a hachi as possible (no debate necessary ha ha)

i just havn't had an s13 on the track, and thought seeing they are such a regular sight in slide form, that i would try and skip the trial and error stage, (ie buying one part at a time) and just ask what people have used, what is necessary and what performed good enough on a budget.

    cheers so far.

jsut keep in mind dude that what works for others may not work for you

i had a mate with an s13, and all he had was a set of coilovers. blasted all over the track having a ball.

he said that soon as he added in an upgraded rear sway bar (he used an R32 GTR item) it changed the car dramatically, making it much more predictable. (which is to be expected) i think the sway bar only cost him 100$ or something, well worth it though!

i believe the hicas lock bar is a good place to start and theyare quite cheap, just a bit of mucking around to get them in.

strut braces and what not are all well and good, but i suggest just goin and having a go first and see how you go. Dont just pile it up with parts and hope for the best!
