T18 front guards, will they go on a KE70? Just how different is the shape?
Only thinking about going to T18 chrome bumpers, but would like the matching recess in the guard for the bumper end as it looks a bit unfinished otherwise.
I get the impression the T18 guards may be different around the park light recess though?

I suppose the other solution would be grafting the bottom of the T18 guards into the KE70 guards.

I highly doubt they will fit, they will be too long no doubt.

    BUT

If you modified them to fit (i.e. drill new holes to mount to the body, maybe some subtle dremel work) and fitted the bonnet, then you could get the bozo shark nose thing happening.

    Now THAT would be cool.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

Yeah fair enough, well I've never had them side by side. So some grafting would be in order to get that nice flush bumper mounting, cool.

As far as i know, the bumpers do not require modification to fit.

I realise that; but T18 bumpers have a recess on the guard which is square, KE70 matches KE bumper which is angled. IMO it looks good with just the bumpers but grafting the guard section in to match would look even neater.

    You want to do this?

You can buy them from the factory like that in other countries.

Yeah the big side marker cutout doesn't do it for me. If they are available with the small cutout at the front for the side light, maybe. Will have to look deeper into this. Perhaps early ke70 panelvan guards (as hard to find as van bumpers though I'd guess).

I just had a look through all my pictures and it pretty much says bumper cutout = TE72 front guards. The alternative is to use your early KE70 front guards and use a chrome bumper from a early Jap E70 Corolla Sedan which has the same bumper shape as the plastic ones you find on early aus KE70

I haven't looked at wagons/panelvans so you might find something there though.

use the T18 bumpers and make end caps out of your KE plastic ones

i don't know if that would work but its worth looking into
