Default suspension upgrades for an MX73 y0!

    hey guys.

just wondering if anyone has any experience with upgrading suspension for an mx73 cressy. not so keen on just running cutties anymore and i did a little search and found out that MA61 stuff bolts in? has anyone done this? or am i better off just finding someone to weld a coilover sleeve onto my fronts.

also what about for rear suspension? id imagine something like the au/sierra combo but for a cressy?

    please shead some light

dont botther trying to find ma61 stuff.. i tried looking and their isnt much around.
just get a coilover sleve kit from gilly or dimitri.
for the rear commodore shocks are shorter. might be able to find a AGX model but not sure. with the springs its hard since its a heavy car to start with so not many cars are going to be stiffer. the rear sping diameter is slightly bigger than ae86/ke70 and you could run the springs from one of these. but they need to be stiffer (7-8kg) and longer. not sure on exact lenght but my 200mm 6kg springs absolutly slammed my cressy haa

    hope that helped mate

As mentioned on auszoku. S13 front end with AE86 Gear in the rear. See if you can get some 10kg fronts and 8kg rears.

no need to change the front struts in all likely hood they would be the same/equiv.

its a good point though, in that pretty much all irs toyotas from this era require the same shit.

you want short stroke shox, with shortened and coilovered front struts.

rear you need slightly longer but same fitment as 86 springs & shox.

i doubt your gonna slide it, so dont worry about getting super stiff springs unless you wanna spend up on decent shox to control them, just go with the good old 8/6kg combo.

    your gay

na, you are but more to the point

id weld a sleeve kit on the front and just buy some stiff king springs for the rear that suit the car from a fulcrum dealer or straiht from king themselves

a shorter shock for the rear would be something like a commo like someone said before and try to get something adjustable like konis or AGX etc

might even pay to shorten the front struts and whack some shorter shox in there

might pay to tell us what your doing with the car also..., if you just want it stiff enough not to scrub with hawwwt wheel fitment like i know you will be haven maybe you should just get king to make you up a set of springs in a high rate and boy some descent shocks
