What conidition was the rack in when you put it in? It probably needs new rack ends, tie rod ends, and new ball joints wouldn't hurt.
hey i have swapped my power steering rack and column for a non power steering setup and it seems to be a bit sloppy i have the powersteering arms still on could this be making it rough to drive?

what do you mean by sloopy?
did you put new tie rod ends on the non-power steering rack? they could be flogged
the power steering arms will make the steering a little bit heavier but give you more lock than non power steering arms
No it wouldn't be.
But i don't know what is.
-waits for someone with more experience to post-
EDIT: I was a little late.
oh ok so putting a non powersteering rack on powersteering arms should not be a problem? nah i didnt replace the tie rod ends they looked ok but yer they probably not
Not an issue.
People in 86's and KE70's put power steering arms on non power steering racks to get more lock.
