Thread: Disc brakes to suit T series diff. Two sets in Melb

    Gents,

I have two sets of disc brakes to suit a T series diff. Everything needed is included, calipers, discs and backing plates (including handbrake cables). You bolt this up to your T series diff and enjoy disc braked goodness.

Single piston, 280mm solid discs and a damn good handbrake (internal). Pads look to be brand new. One pair of discs in undersize, so first in best dressed there.

Suitable for T18, RA40, RA60, TA22 and more. Also looks like it'll suit old Corona's too... according to

$200 pickup in Melbourne (north east or inner east) or add delivery to your door.

Pics (two sets of everything you see is available):

Drop me a PM or reply if interested.
    Thanks
    Hen

Come with bearing retainer plates as well? Are they the standard handbrake cables that come on the rona or have they been modified to suit a sprinter? Rebuilt calipers or if not, how are the seals? Cheers.

OK, a bit busy working on the car to write up a full conversion guide...

Setup is as pulled from a wreck. Probably function fine, but budget for a rebuild if you want to be on the safe side. To mount these you need to move the shock mount slightly inboard, a spacer ring (piece of pipe) beside the bearing, and a change to the length of the handbrake cable. Nothing too difficult.

Bearing retainer plates are still on the axles. Can provide them for around $80 extra a pair since I have no way of removing them.

Handbrake is sik. This setup works better than JDM tyte is every regard (apart from fanboy street cred of course).

i have this setup on my car and can confirm they work tops, and the handbrake is 100 times better than any disc handbrake.
