my bad im drunk
not trying to hijack the thread, i've read the 4agze specs given by riojin, what is the meaning of the 'snap ring' for the piston spec of the 4agze ae101?
what does it mean by that 'snap ring'?
some good 16inch rims for FF cars can be used an aw11s.
i think 16s looks perfect (imho that is).
although to run 15s, just buy 4x114.3 rims in offsets that ae86 drivers consider shit, such as 14x6 pos 25 or something (example) and have the holes filled and redrilled... u could have some awesome offset for an aw11 and good width oldskool rims, for a cheap price. win.
lol at white people in japan. just lol.
Maybe talking about how the pin is held in the piston.
normal 4A's, like bigport are sweat / press fit. gze's etc are floating and the assembly is held in by small rings that sit in a groove in the tunnel which stops the pin sliding out.
I strongly concur with Kambo. ZE pistons are forged (see ). Otherwise there are no internal differences GE vs GZE. Also bear in mind that a AW11 halfcut will have the oldest type of ZE in it, still good, but there were some improvements made over the years, so in some ways an AE101 motor would be better, plus most likely fresher.
There is infinite amounts of info about AW11s on Toymods, maybe mr2oc and lots more. Make the effort to sign up and you'll find anything you want to know.

A forged pistons looks forged, where as a cast piston looks cast.
Not being a smart ass, but when I deal with them that's how I tell. Or what box they come in ahahaha.
