Make sure you buy a clean straight un-crashed shell, with minimal rust as possible. The worst regret any new buyer has is finding a rusted or bent shell which results in a shit base for a car and a lot more money spent getting it up to spec.
Hi Everyone,
I am new here and will be going to look at some 86s soon.
Is there like a quick what to look for / common problems kind of FAQ around?
Also are there any good 86 mechanics around/near hurstville or meadowbank i can take my final choice to to get a quick checkup for the AOK before i buy it?
Cheers
Matt

Be fucking anal when your checking for rust...
Rust is GAY and can be hidden well.
best advice, dont rice it try not to crash it
Best Advice , save your self the money and try to buy one with mods already do to it ie 4age, suspension brakes, etc . If you can afford it ,its better then building one up now days.
my only advice is dont be conned into paying excessive ammounts of money for an old dated corolla... look around and find one at the Right price! there are some out there for under the ridiculous 6-7 k price tag..
cheers takumi!
thanks guys
i been lurking and looking at prices for a long while now so i feel i have a fair idea on what is a good deal
