How can this be? asked everyone i know. rumour said they can defect anything major even if its engineered? is this right? ill be able to get it sorted later this week when i finish work, just want to be more knowledgable when i rock up..
mate, the cops would defect everything, even the pope mobile
30kw club
what legal mods are we talkin about mate.. perhaps keeping an engineers report in the car at all times would be handy..?
A list of what u got done for may be more helpfull, and the condition they are in,
Some cop mates of my ex's told us that they can defect anything on any car, as long as the car is older than two weeks, engineered or not.
twin cam motor
modified exhaust
modified suspension height
modified front seats
the codes are on the rego sticker for all of these mods. RTA chick said i didnt need the cert in the car as the codes are there for that. the car is lower now than what it was engineered for, and on the report it discloses the exact height, so if i ever showed it, it would be a defect straight away...
jessi: yeah i just heard that too.. hows that work tho? guilty until prooven innocent?
I'm not sure how it works, but an old guy buying a brand new Bentley today would be able to get defected in a couple of weeks basically speaking.
My ex has a rally car, full engineered and it's road registered (needs to be for transport stages and stuff) and the cops pulled him over and he said its engineered and they just said to him, go home or we will call highway patrol down here and they will take apart every piece of your car and defect you on everything, even the smallest cracks, and stuff like that.
load of crap
do not put a spanner near this car and do not worrie
book the car for a pit inspection at your local rta station
take engineers report
also message me the name of your engineer
that was the pope mobile before it got defected
^^^ HAHAHAH
