lol good luck
i recently bought a rolling 86 shell that used to be belong to shane bingham and was on hpi9. i am after some info regarding the build plate on my new car. or the lack of one to be more specific. im trying to track down the last registered owner to find out where the fk it is so im not just pouring my money into a car that will never be able to get registered as this is my goal to build a street car. i know this car has whored around alot but i would really appreciate accurate info on the where abouts of the build plate or if u guys know of how to order a new one if possible? btw it still has the aus compliance plate. thanks

that shells been rolled a few times too man
stewie drove the 86 on the road and so did chris, like registered etc
one would have to think the plate went missing after that ^^
this is the plate with the vin number, build date etc yes?
to the best of my knowledge you can't "reorder" one.
bit of bad luck there dude.
Nahh I've done it before. Get every bit of info you can on the car that correlates the frame number (and your ownership) then just head in to QT and tell them it was lost during last repaint.
I may have been lucky but after being told I needed surrogate numbers and help from the police they just regoed it.
BTW, Greenslopes QT FTW.
Last person to have it registerd was stewert he drove it on the road then sold it minus alot of parts though said they where there, and to my knowledge the chassis is bent. I bought a shell of him and have some of his details but good luck getting him to do you any favours he is what you would call a pure scum.
ok its all sorted with the plates. as my mate who owns this called dot and they said those plates are not really needed as u only need compliance plate as that is all cops look at n u will not get defected.
thats a direct quote from d.o.t!!
I remember that shell from a while back in 2004 at a Toyo Drift Nationals at Oran Park. Shane was telling me that it was basically a number of destroyed shells joined together. It had some interesting bracing on it.
