yo........ i'm building another 4agte monster, and so need to upgrade the box. i have got a niteparts bellhouseing on the way, but i'm wondering whats the go with the fitting of the gze fly wheel as i have heard they "fit no trouble", and also that they "don't and you need to either grind some metal away from the inside of the housing or just get the 4age fly as its smaller". i've got a hd clutch already and don't want to change it if not neccesary.

also wondering about the w57/w58. which one do you get and what other parts are required for fitting, as i have the bell, and have a jdm disc to disc rear end..........?

Clutch fits fine, BUT you do need to grind a little out, you'll see clear as day when you get it.

Any W5* box it fine, I use a W58 but a W57 is just as good, even a W55 will be fine, just depends what ratios you want.

I'm still using the original cross member, but I highly recommend getting aproper one made up. You'll also need to get a custom drive shaft made up.

when you say you have the bell, do you mean the W5* series bell or the adaptor bell? cause your going to need the adaptor bell housing to make it work obviously

Have a search, it's out there somewhere.

    In short:
    Custom bellhousing
    W5* box
Custom tailshaft (or RA40 front section and stock rear section)
    Custom crossmember
New clutch hard and soft lines (T18 and/or TA22 may suit)
Maybe modify new shifter hole to suit new shifter location
New custom clutch (or use GZE flywheel with GZE clutch)

    Speedo drive plugs straight in.
Reverse light switch is in the same spot.

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen or heard of a Toyota Supra JZA80 gearbox (the Getrag 6 speed one) conversion?

Nope. Doesn't fit in the tunnel and they are integral bellhousing, makes it hard to adapt up without chopping and welding.

Can anyone advise re clutch? Ze flywheel, pressure plate and clutch plate? Or do the W5*'s have a different spline on the input shaft to the T50?
    Thanks

T50 is a different spline. But W5* is same spline as GZE.
