yeh im actually only running +6caster my corona had more than that i was thinking about the height, prob fine as is, already the tyres rub the guards sometimes anyway on lower shock settings, would have to fuck around with the front guards alot for well, no gain aside from looks?
theres a tyre shop near me that apparently fits used tyres for fitting price anyway so maybe no poaching required lol.
about running that kind of caster, did you get any feeling of instability? i had like +8 or 9 some crazy shit on my gazelle and i dunno, could of been something else but it felt overly snappy during transitions, i smacked it into the wall at calder cause it just snapped back so quick it swung out the opposite way into the wall.
and back to the lower thing, is it really lower better? or is it just for looks on s13's?

Higher is better. Like 1.5" gap between tire ang guard.

If you're going to run more caster, you also need to run more camber as the castor will wind on positive camber the more you tunr the wheel. To keep the front contact patch "constant" or as close to it as you can, you need to dcrease castor lots and deal with the wheel not returning/centering as fast yourself.

ok so the theory is then, if it full lock due to castor on the inside (lead) wheel you have +3 camber then you want to set your camber to -3 so your leading wheel is flat to the surface? that's how i had it on my old rona by accident but yeh, it had a really stable front end.
also, what is the reasoning behind this? because i see alot of s13's with the wheels leaning way over at full lock.

    Pro car:

    Amatuer car:

It's because everyone thinks castor's way cool and having the steering correct itself makes you a sick drifter.

    RIP green car.

It's not a lot. It's just stock FC castor +

Whatever that equates to, he reckons it's ~6º

rear camber really depends on the track, want to try to get it so wear is even, toe out will help with turn in and s13's need as much help as they can get there

i wouldn't buy 2nd hand tyres for the rear when you can get stuff new for cheap that will last ages, nothing worse then a pair of tyres being wasted in 2 runs and getting ripped apart

i just said what my brother and me run and both our cars are really easy to drift, no need to go crazy with the setup right away tho most people seem to ignore that

what are the gear ratios supposed to be like on these? mine does like 110 in second gear at 7.5k-ish-rpm. seems stupidly long to me eh.

Is that with my 14's on or my 22's?

Keiichi, what ratio diff do you have? Have a play with some different ratios if you want, theres plenty of other diffs around 3.9, 4.1, 4.3, 4.6 (from memory), etc. I always used 4.1 in my S13, seemed normal enough to drift with on most tracks.
