    Hi Guys,

Well once I sell my other car I will have some cash to splash.

I was thinking spending maybe 5-6k on a NA 16V setup. Just for the street, but something with a bit of ooof rather than the stock 96kw bigport it currently has.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a nice NA 16V setup. I'm open to ideas or anything.

Let me know what you think.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

If you wanna have some NA fun, just splash out on a bigger set of cams, ITBs, ECU. I had a shiteload of fun with mine! But once I had spent 5-6k on my NA setup I was disappointed because I could have spent similar money on a turbo setup! I shrugged it off at first, thinking NA would be more fun, but after going in all my mates turbro cars I had to change!
It gets expensive to get a lot of power from a NA setup and still have good street driveability! But then it was much easier to rego!
All depends on what you want outta the car! Nothing beats screaming up/down a mountain with rock walls echoeing the induction noise of ITBs! But if you have ever thought about going turbo, now would be the time to really sit down and think about what you really want in terms of bang for buck!
    Goodluck!
    Cheers.

    Thanks for your response Whitchy.
The only reason I want to (for now) stay away from turbo was my previous Turbo 86 was really a dog. I just had a lot of problems with it and it really turned me off it. Though if I was to do it properly then it would probably be a lot better and more fun.

Like you mentioned the ease of passing rego, this is also a strong point which also pushed me towards a NA setup.

But yeah, being in my mates R34 (turbs) really wants me to go turbo again aswell...

    it's confusing! hahaha.

go gze, best of both worlds. Slap on a pulley kit and you'll have good streetability and turbo performance

try and find a HKS stroker set.I manadged to Fing one, so It would have more torque than a 1.6 and a bit more power.or do what intense said.gze, then you got torque and power and it still sorta is an and/A.well it sounds and/A any way..I would rip off the stock super charger and put an after market one on, they look better, flow better, and can run more psi.would be fully sick maaate..

definately worth checking yahoo japan....I've seen a number of freshly built engines from noted workshops for sale.....banzai could hook you up big time if you were keen....

engine plans in sprinters are such a hard choice.....in your heart you wanna keep it and/A as sprinters should be, but commonsense say to go turbo

Do a 7AGE with 20v quads. Torque AND power.
Some forged high comp pistons, stronger rods, cams, quads, adaptronic. Done

with that amount of money, I think you'd be good with some quads, 264-272 cams and a aftermarket ecu. should run nice
