    Default CA18DE pistons in a 4AG?

CA18DE pistons in a 4AG, anyone actually done it, they 83mm.
Would go nice with a 7a, What HG is required? as TRD only does up to 82mm.
    What about pins/rod diametres compatibility

    If you google - 4AGE 83mm bore

Then you'll come up with a bunch of info and places who do 83mm gaskets. Personally I wouldn't go that far. Going to 83mm over 81.5 gives you about 4% more capacity, not worth it in my opinion given the reliability concerns.

    Ok, found the 83mm HG,
This is more of a discussion than a project plan
So as I said, lets talk, CA18 or mazda & why?

    If money wasnt an object.

ive drive a RS YASU engine car. GTV on HR has one. it feels like a mild 20v/worked 20v.
there is a bit more torque low to mid range, but once its passed that its feels the same.
you get a capacity incease to 1675cc (roughly, cant remember exactly)

mazda and CA18 pistons work, and only on a 16v. have seen a failure using these pistons in a 20v, and apprently Tsuchiya tried and it killed his blacktop 20v too.
i have a cometic 83mm gasket on my smallport with 82mm oversized pistons. works a treat, but 83mm is the largest you will be able to bore the cylinders before it will destroy it self.

7a is probably the best way to go for larger stroke.
