    hey i have a set of ssr mrkII 14x6's and want to no if its possible and cost affective to get the rims widend and the dish changed , by cost affective i mean cheaper or the same price as new rims

    there welded cant be split easily i tried on my longchumps

    longchumps would be different wouldn't they? ive seen ssr's done a few times, and watanabe's?

    i believe ssr mkIs, IIs && IIIs are welded and bolted and therefore cant be reversed :-(

    I looked at getting new outer rims made up for my 15" SSR style mesh. NO local wheel manufacturers in Aus would provide rims for wheels that were not their own (n) (i.e. Simmons don't even make 3-Piece wheels smaller than a 16" anymore) I did finally get onto a guy in Melbourne would could spin up rims to what ever width I required. for example for 8": each 4" rim would be about $200. so times that by 8 and add machining costs for drilling the 20 concentric holes in each section to fit centre and valves, polishing and assembly costs new valves bolts etc you are looking at the $2000 mark. so you could definately get new wheels in that size for that. I ended up opting to strip, repaint, repolish mine - all up cost was around $750.

    Yer dude....I wouldn't bother. Too much arsing around.

    Just import some yourself from YahooJP. MkI and IIs with mondo offset are fairly plentiful.

    PM me if you want the details of the dude I use/used. Very cheap and super reliable...
