Hey mate don't use anything secondhand if you value your feet!
Get new genuine or get Arp's and torque them up to specs.
All Ge's are 8 bolts mate.

what are ARPs? where can i get these bolts from apart from toyota, in the event of them telling me some bullsh*t time bracket like last time i tried to order parts, and the nearest dealer is 40km away...

can i match the bolts any where else, and get higher grade steel?

ARP are aircraft grade (?) epic high-tensile bolts, basically the best-of-the-best

And most performance shops can get ahold of them, as well as international eBay stores (cheapest way to get them)

I got genuine ones from Canberra Toyota 3 weeks ago, $2.78 each (with club discount)
Why risk it for such a little cost.
I also used a torque wrench with NO loctite. Iam not anti, I just didn't have any.....

Oh, and just wondering, how did you know it was a broken flywheel bolt? What are the symtoms? A rattle? Curious, thats all.....

I tighten to the specified torque with no loctite, no problems with snapping or coming loose yet. I've also done up tight with and without loctite, all without problems either.

Torque is 54ftlb or 74Nm, tighten in 2-3 passes (so 1st pass 30ftlb, 2nd pass 40ftlb, and the final pass of 54ftlb).
