JAPANESE DOMESTIC MARKET AS F*CK!!! hmmm, when you prenounce it properly, it sounds gay how bout that.
what diameter are they..?? look bigger than 360mm
They look pretty nice to me, not quite 360mm though. Or were you talking about the steering wheels?
The AE82 twin cam wheels are definatley 360mm diameter.
They are a very practical and cost effective upgrade from the standard corolla wheels because:
They are not too small, although some consider them too large.
They are nice and dishy
They are ADR approved
They are cheaps as chips
They are leather
And your indicator return still works
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?
To put 360mm into perspective, that's also the size of the size of your stock ADM sprinter steering wheel.
i'm using one at present
they are 360mm, i got mine as it sits in a good spot in the 70, and is bigger meaning my quick rack isn't as hard to spin, i also am soon running a wider rim and tyre combo so lighter steering is a bonus.
I used one too, nice to drive with. Essentially it is the same wheel as the AE86 GT wheel fitted standard overseas with a different centre pad (Twincam 16 in orange instead of Toyota in white) and orange stitching instead of black, though they are probably all so grimy now you won't see that anyway. I believe the Black Limited Trueno's released in Japan had them as standard. I bought one to replace the AE86 GT wheel I had borrowed off a mate.
Interestingly, it has the same clearance to the indicator stalk as my Nardi classic fitted with a 115mm personal/nardi boss.
As above, it has the advantage of being ADR approved, and readily available.
If you get one, just make sure the three locator pegs for the centre section are intact and not broken otherwise it won't sit properly
