for a track car i say fixed backs are top shit, but for say ur daily that u'd drive everyday could be uncomfortable altho if ur daily has coilovers its gonna be uncomfortable neway so id rock it
personally im gonna find a bride recliner for my sil which is street driven/slid and leave the fixed back in the 86
i love havin a fixed back tho, for me i personally love the bride fixed back, holds me in perfect
what about rails, what are the best to go for. there are so many types
^^holds you in when you sit in your stationary car??^^
i love you rob hahaha
oh and bride fixed back FTW! they are rad but dunno bout for long drives.
bride rails if u can find them, or find a mate with weldin skills, bride have low rails which is good for tall peeps
hahaha, yea ur jus never down when i go for stealth unrego drives haha
there is bout 30 different types of ride rails.
the full seat base type or just the rails for each side.
whats the advantage of the full seat base type?
This is a good question as I'm looking at getting some soon too, except a recliner. Any comment on those as well? I'm 6"1 and average build, and don't like a really low driving position. Do the different rails determine the height of the seat?
sorry to hijack your thread.
I have a zeta3 fixed back.
For a daily I would say no, as it is a pain to turn around/look over your shoulder. Comfort is no problem on long drives. Dont buy one without sitting in one first though. I'm 6"2 and 67kg and the type L (large size) is very snug on me. So check the fit first!
I had a driver's side Bride fixed bucket seat on my little corolla. It was wicked for driving mountain runs etc. But once the drive takes longer than 1hour ++ ... u get out of the seat, and u look like a baboon!! T_T
Better to have one for the study/tv and then use it when ur really wanting a good track day/drift day etc. They are made to play GT4 in >_<
