    Default Bon's project 71

A looong time ago I bought this AE71 for a grand, Its fairly stock, just falcon springs and welded diff, the usual ghetto mods (my good old red ke in the background)

Then I made the massive mistake of taking spray cans to it. My colour combination wasn't looked upon too fondly by drunken passers by as two weekends it got vandalised

But now I'm doing it properly which has been like 6 months of sanding, filling and changed the front end too. So it's looking like this right now

waiting to be primed tonight. Should have it all together this weekend and able to get off defect (just cop shop), be a little bit before its painted though.

I've got some bolt on gaurds for the back and planning on putting 86 bumpers on, then I'll figure out what to do about the engine.

    HELP PLEASE!
Does anyone have any pics or tips on how to fit 86 bumpers? Not too sure what I'm doin Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This is the condition of the "good condition" front bumper I have, wondering if anyone has any tips on how i can fix it??

oh and door locks, mine are stuffed, wondering if there is anything i can use besides rolla locks cos they are fairly easy to break into??

You should be able to get solex door locks, they replace the barrel and you use a different round key to open your car. They are still not that secure as there are many ways to break into old cars, lol.

Get yourself a steering lock and maybe a cheap alarm?

yeah alarm and steering lock might be the way to go, repco don't even stock those locks cos they are that bad hey.

And I'm not keen on cable ties exposed on this one, want it to look nice, worked too hard to drill holes all over

Yeah I'm a bit of a hermit these days but hopefully be everywhere once this car is done, its taken me ages cos i've pretty much just done it all on my own whenever i have time and it's all been VERY trial and error. I'm learning the hard way but boy am i learning lol
