    Default Full lock question ?

    i get 2 full turns on the steering wheel to the left but only 1 1/2 turns to the right whats going on?
    the guy who i bought the car off had put RA60 front stuts in is there something he might not have done right resulting in this?
    please help U turns are starting to piss me off!

    You need a trolley jack and 2 jack stands. You can get a creeper also, but a large peice or cardbourd is my favorite.

    sounds like he installed a lock spacer as you have a total of 3.5 turns. find the centre, take steering wheel off and reposition it. adjust toe so its "straight" then go get a proper wheel alignment

    ive got a similar problem, but thats because on of my wheels hits the wheel arch. even after a full alingment it does that :s

    Rack needs to be centered.

    Measure the effective length of a steering tie-rod, from ball joint to ball joint. Adjust them so they are the same length either side. Or count the number of threads showing on either side, and make them match. This is what is ment by centreing the rack. Then with both front wheels positioned so they both have the same amount of toe, pull the steering wheel off and put it back on straight. With the steering wheel kept in the staight position, adjust toe-in to about zero.

    If you then have different steering angle turning each way, the tyre is hitting something.
