    ah yes i have seen this article, was on the bus to tafe and a bogan friend of mine had a street commodore mag with this exact article in it, good info

    the 5w-60 is the thinnest oil i would allow unless it was a race engine. you must have been joking when you said it was thick.

    since then penrite brought out their "SIN" range. its the ultimate range of fully synthetic oils in different viscosities. check them out here

    SIN 15 for a car with a 4age 16v not rebuilt and lower for one with a rebuild or 20v. doesnt matter if its NA, turbo or supercharged. SIN 0 for a track only race engine

    used kitchen grade olive oil will be good enough for a 4ac but keep away from that extra virgin!

    street commo's are being sued buy most of the oil companies because the test is not suited for motor oils it's a grease test.... or so my boss says.
