it will need to be rejetted most probaly...

    what motor/carb is it?

i have a 32-36 weber from a 2L on my 1600 4ac and that is too rich with std jets.

Now, tell me, why did you buy the bigger carb for it?

Wait, let me guess, was it to get some more power out of your 4K?

WELL. You MAY want to worry about the overfuelling, as it will only help you to make less power than you did before, use more fuel and generally make it run like a sack of crap.

    Get it rejetted.

it'll cost you $50 (as long as you remove it and give it to a carb specialist to be re-jetted)

The over-fuelling will be bad, as 0.7L capavity difference is quite significant in regards to jetting.

Also, in regards to your throttle cable problem, the best way to do it would be to estimate how much longer / shorter the cable you need will be, and then go to u-pull it / pick a part / whatever and measure the throttle cable length from the firewall, as the firewall_> pedal distance is generally the same on most cars.
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

I have seen wheel type things used on webers called a throttel plate (i think) you can adjust it if the cable is a little long or short.

If your going to keep the current jets you may as well keep the std carb. As I said I have a weber on my 4ac with the std jets, it kept fouling plugs (have that fixed this a stronger ignition system). I also get very poor fuel economy, I get roughly 300-350km's out of a tank, this is 80kph highway driving.

has this scared you into getting it rejetted yet?

its nearly scared me to the point of just going 4age. nah if getting it rejetted is only going to cost around $100 i dont care ill just go get it done. You must understand this car cost me $0 so im not phased how quickly i destroy it.
