    Hey guys,

We'll i haven't competed for a while now in aid of saving some money for some things i've been wanting for a little while. I have the first now (my cams cage) and now i want i bit more power.

Im very keen for more boost via a pulley. Its a MAP GZE, i dont want ball busting power figures just a bit more to help me on turn six at QR she doesn't quite have the power to push out to the ripple strip on exit. i have a few questions so here goes:

Will i need any other mods? or is it just bolt her on and go??? i have a decent cooler and surge tank VL pump etc.

Will it need an ecu??? need to be retuned??

Will i loose bottom end power?

I know more boost is always going to cause more engine wear but how bad?? and ive been told 14psi is all the sc12 will cop

is there different sized pulleys i can get?

Where can i get one and how much are they??? I have heard of a company called NEVO???

Lots of Q's guys sorry just answer what you be bothered with and i will appreciate it muchly.

    cheers and good bye

theese just replace the original pulley right??? IMO spending 700 odd dollars on a pulley kit is stupid, take your original pulley to a machinist or something and get them to make u a new one would be 200 max

you can get several different sized pulleys. i think 165mm is 9psi?

my mate has put a 175mm pulley on his MAP engine with no other mods accept cooler and exhaust. has had no problems and power increase is very good. he has been running this for years and had no dramas.......

full boost is at 1700rpm or something silly like that no ECU mods or fuel sysem mods done, however i would think power would be even better if they were modded.

i had a custom pulley made from my original one. cost $180, 175mm also a microtech and fuel system, im keen to see how mine goes

Thanks guys for your help, i was thinking of making one (i do work at a machining shop) but would like a nice light alloy one, and the keyway it drives off is very tiny and apparently its good to have that wire cut?? we dont do that at work. Ill find out if i can get some 7075 alluminium ordered in and if a normal keyway will do.

So a 175mm pulley will be around 12psi yea????

I dont understand why i dont need bigger injectors or something. more air means more fuel doesn't it??
Sorry if thats a dumb question but i dont know much.

GZE injectors are pretty good. maybe just get an adjustable pressure reg, and raise the base pressure.

this will provide the additional fuel.

i just got mine made by having the centre pressed out and getting a larger outer belt pulley made and then having it re pressed onto the original centre. 175mm should see 13psi (hopefully)

While we are on the topic of superchargers. Does anyone upgrade to the sc14 off the 1GGZE (i believe)? What kind of psi do these create and will it be the same going into a 4 cylinder car?

Perhaps this could be an alternative mark.

john Nevo (NEVO) no longer makes pulleys. His kit came with a belt, 175mm pulley, and idler pulley.
I've got one of his last.

Some people have had success with falcon airconditioner pulleys on the supercharger. Too ghetto for me though.

Maybe wait it out, a pulley show up on random forums (here, twincam, etc) every couple of months.
