pulling the motor out
dirty ass engine bay
cleaned down before wire brush and spot welding
also under car was pretty grot
so cleaned that down too
i'm going to use the gearbox that was behind the 4ac. in the short drive that i had it seemed to shift ok, except for first gear felt a bit crunchy.
the gearbox was completely covered in oil
so not sure if it was all from the engine or gearbox i figured play it safe, strip and reseal it aswell as new input and extension housing seals. i checked first gear syncro only(cause its easy) and found it was worn. luckily had a new syncro from toyota ready to go. i used some metal polish to bed it in. all good
while it was apart i completely washed the casing down inside and out
resealed and painted
and to finish it off bought new slave cylinder, boot and trd mount
