Blacktop one is slightly different. The teeth are a different profile for a different belt.

The teeth profile make no difference, I have run ST and BT on a 16V belt,

BUT, the TDC markings on the BT and the rest are different,
so if you use a BT cam drive without the BT oil pump, your cam timing markings are out.
The actual timing is the same,
but the dot on the pulley on a BT drive is between two teeth, and on the rest it is right on a tooth.

being that his doing a 20v 7age he'll have other timing issues to worry about aswell, so they wont make all that much difference

Well since I also used my one's on a 7AGE 20V, I can tell you that it does make the difference,
between putting it all together and everything lining up perfect,
and puting it together and the timing being a complete mystery.

To get out of Grantobious' thread,

It seems like I'm hearing that a 7age block with BT head, oil pump, tensioner, timing gear will actually line up the cam gears with a standard 16V timing belt?? Any need to modify the tensioner?

Also, would the compression ratio become too high for pump gas if the BT pistons were used as well? I don't know where this conversion puts the pistons when at TDC but the extra stroke should increase compression ratio.

Any thoughts? This is hella awesome if it really that simple. (Any ideas where I'm from?)

compression ratio will be a theoretical 12.1:1 which is ok with a good tune or else just go with the silvertop pistons
