Looking through all the NCOP i carnt find anything on it, so i assumed a grey area. But i know qld modification rules are very vague.
But why is it more dangerous than running on the outside (besides said fumes). And running full length hoses is also a grey area.
just remember the business it was Per-4-Mence or similar, so i assumed that if he did it was on the up and up.... maybe not.
AND BAM i just realized why its more dangerous.... brains fried after final exams
why the shit would you want them on the inside of the cabin?
for reason i cbfed explaining. (Exhaust other things ect)
And since im playing CSS and im dead
Run exhust out the side and for some bizzare reason for it 2 be legal it needs to come out the right (Want to do this becuse of fuel tank modification) Therfore i would rather incabin lines than exhaust running over them....
hey no need to delete your original post, its all about learning.
what i mean is, if you are considering running fuel lines (hoses) insidet he cabin, maybe you should reconsider why yo uare doing it.
lots of cars have exhausts failry close to the exhaust, its no big deal and making hard metal fuel lines isn;t a big deal.
if you explain what you are trying to do the good people of the forum should be able to help you out
EDIT:
in victoria at least, on a sprinter there is no issue running teh exhaust out either side, after 1986 (or soemthing) they have to exit on the right side so they dont shoot awesome noise at pedestrians on the footpath. this is stupid as the fuel filler is on the right side!
i wanted to run a sidepipe but its a bit too cop bait for me.
close to the fuel lines i assume
But having the exhaust cross over the fuel lines carnt be a fantastic idea?
From the point of heating the petrol up and it having a low volitity*spell
Hang on wait are you saying make metal lines run inside? showing my slowness again
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (jason @ Nov 7 2007, 11:19 PM) </div>no no, metal lines on the outside, just keep them say 100mm away from the exhaust, heatshield if you need to and dont worry about it too much
have a look under some cars to get an idea, visit a wrecker or something
Hang on, why would it be bad to run metal lines through the cabin. I understand why for flexi lines. But if the metal terminates outside of the cabin then its sealed in the cabin? Unless im missing some huge bit of information?
