as in u want teh alternator on the inlet side? wats wrong with the FWD setup
this issue has been killing me. what alternatives are there for this bracket (not FWD setups) as in are there brackets similar that can be modded or anything like that. Better yet is there any1 here that has the bracket. would you be able to trace it and post it up with some dimensions so i can go get it made....

shouldve explained my situation my bad. id like it mounted driver side, i dont want a FWD setup because atm i have a complete RWD jspec setup bar the alternator which is actually 4ac and mounted passenger side. why not keep it like that u ask? because 4ac alternators are shit and dont charge enough for an EFI motor so my battery drains stupidly fast and also it prevents me from ever gettin extractors.

oh ok yep, i get ya, i was jstu saying coz i have a FWD bracket and it actually attaches to the drivers side, and i thought u had one but u've just got the 4ac bracket, i'll go see if i can trace it or sumthign for ya
edit: na i cant coz its stuck to my alternator, so tracing it is difficult, did u want jsut the base of it traced as in where it bolts to the block or did u want a copy of the whole thing?
Remember, you will also need a jdm crank pulley, water pump pulley (and alternator obviously) at minimum. Running a jdm crank pulley will also mean you need a jdm a/c setup due to pulley differences.

I see you got the problem of having rwd water pump setup but no rwd alt. bracket.
So i can understand why you cannot use a fwd bracket.
Im quite suprised that noone has got rwd copies cast, or made up etc...
Ive seen people use a 4ac water setup with a fwd bracket and a much longer top bit which will make the alternator lower but it still doesnt look too great
these are new, and im getting one for my engine:
you should be able to do away with the adjuster slide all together, which is handy. its easier to get the bracket, but not as easy to get the slider
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (slide86 @ Nov 8 2007, 12:22 PM) </div>You still need the Cast Iron RWD Alternator bracket for that.
yeah, but you dont need the adjustment slider, which are harder to come by and are damaged sometimes....
ive found a few brackets, but no sliders. until now i thought the bracket would be useless
nah i just need the bracket. so a copy of the bracket. dw bout the slider, you can still bolt it on without the slider ive seen it done b4. if i can get a proper copy of the top and bottom bracket i may get a bunch made up.
