    PLEASE WRITE ALL TECH ARTICLES IN THE FAQ SECTION FROM NOW ON

    </a>

    It is a WIKI style FAQ

    Which means that anybody can sign up and edit it...

    I will also be needing some volunteers to help move everything from the forum over to the FAQ please. You may score a moderator position on the forum if you help out.

    Thanks

    Nicko

    I guess this seams like a good idea, and I guess you have thought about what forum is the best to use.

    I have seen many forums, e-mail lists, websites etc come and go over the years.

    We probably have to think; What is the most usefull/searchable/accurate layout style that will still be usefull and relivent in 5 or 10 years time?

    I guess WIKI is the answer, I'm just wondering if it was discussed.

    Also, are there other wiki sites on the AE86 that serve the exact same purpose? Does Australia deserve its own site?

    hmmm, I have finished posting the remainder of my lock spacer guide

    its a bit disheartening to write something in fine detail and then have someone edit it whilst your still putting it all up taking most of the info out because they think it should be more basic and written like a mechanic instead of a manual

    Is there anyway of making it so the original author can add the information that others submit (like an approval system), or a FAQ moderator.

    Rather than every Tom, Dick and Harry butchering them?

    Unfortunately Wiki doesn't let you do it that way Which really sucks, because a lot of the articles should be written in a technical aspect and the original article preserved. Might just have to be something that is enforced by a few people, wherever possible.

    There is a tool available to see who has been editing entries... always funny to see how Sony has been editing the MS XBox 360 wiki, that one raised a few eyebrows...

    looks like I had a bit of a mix up a while back, what really happened is that I was doing some major adding and editing to an article and at the same time someone thought they would do some minor corrections. That was all good except when I tried to save it, it said it had already been changed since I opened it and it wouldn't let me save, I tried to copy and paste but for some reason it didnt save properly. I am thinking it was my fault though.

    Well I have done a heap of work on 20v conversion guide, I sure hope its right. Hachirusto made a good effert on the rear suspension guide too.
