just buy it
the body is what you should be looking at if youre planning on buying an ae86. if youre gonna buy one youre pretty much going to replace everything in it eventually
I have found an amazing deal on a 1988 Corolla GT-S only problem is the owner doesnt have a key so isnt sure if the car runs or not. Without wanting to waste money on a locksmith to make a key only to find out it doesnt run(even though i might buy it anyway and try to get it fixed, its only 250$!!) i was wondering if anyone could walk me through hotwiring it so that i could just make sure that the car actually works, also its a 5spd, not sure if that matters or not or even if it comes in auto, but just in case, thanks in advance

Take another ignition setup and plug it in.
how old is the key barrel?...if its loose enough, use a similar key to turn it over
dose
the problem is not so much the hotwiring part its getting around the steering lock. But as its been said earlier try a stack of corolla keys

its easy but for some reason i cant justify the means to tell you.. First post on here and asking how to hotwire a car ? LAWL
if its 250 dollars, call a locksmith with the code on the barrel, he will make u a key, then buy the car for previous mentioned price, and stop being a tightass about having to pay no more than $350 for an ae86.
maybe he wants to know how the easiest way to steal a sprinter, ever think about that ? the person selling the car can get more then 250$ in scrap metal sorry dude i call BS
Blue wire to red
or just reach under the dash, rip a hand full of wires out and arc them together.
Works in the movies?
