hey guys i can get a cheap commodore v6. i have heard of people putting them in corollas. just wondering is it worth it and how involved is it? will it be better bang for buck than the 4age? and whats the weight difference?
its going to be for drifting

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Nic19 @ Nov 12 2007, 04:16 PM) </div>If you want to use teh car for drifting then you're better off saving your money.

Fitting it wouldn't be an overly difficult task, however it weighs a shitload more than a 4A series engine, as such it will tend to understeer / loop when driving hard.

I wouldn't reccomend doing this, a 4AG or similar would be a better move honestly
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

if u really want to know,, take the engine to your closest creek, u could even tie a person to it u dont like.. hahah jokes and throw it in!

man if i had choice between 4ag and and 6 cylinder commo donk . 4 ag hands down, its enough power to have some fun in, remember u dont need massive power to drift and there are plenty of japs and D1 drivers using 4ag's and kiking ass! u'll throw the balance out in u use a commo v6, not that i know how much they weigh.. oh not to mention they hate RPM!! toyota or nissan only hehe

oh by the way how much is cheap?
20 valves are even cheap,, plenty of power and quad throttles what a sound to the ears!

Theres a KE30 or something for sale at the moment with a commo V6 in it. Talk to the guy selling it and see what he says.
