    Default porting 4ac head

Ok i know what you are all going to say: don't bother. Your and idiot. get a 4age. go to bed looser. and the rest of it.

But story goes: i am going to be restricted by new p'plate laws. im already only on 1 point. and my mate actually enjoys doing heads. so we want to mess around with mine, hes got the gear iv got the spare head and manifold. all i need to know is has anyone ever done it before and how far did you go?

    Cheers,
    marco.

Good practice (if you had a flow bench), but probably a waste of time unless you also had a different carby and exhaust manifold. And it probably needs different valve springs and cam etc.

yeah he has all the proper gear. his dad is a motor geek. will probs be doing a carby and custom extractors for shits and giggles( work at a exhaust shop) mayaswell do valves and springs. and get the cam ground. you have any idea what specs i should get. and whats good carby i can get that will bolt onto the standard manifold with a spacer?
Cheers. anything else you can think of would be awesome thanks.

Weber carbies bolt on with an adapter plate, just don't ask me what ones, lol.

Plenty of people have worked 4ACs in the past, each with decent results. Replacing cams, carby, just off the top of my head (it is a bit late). I might have to dig through the various info I've bookmarked over the years, see if there is anything in there.

although its a bit limited there are some sharp steps near the port entrance to the valve bowl that can be cleaned up.
