hi guys.
just a quick question . i was wondering if i was running 15x8 front and 15x9 with some sticky rubber like bridgestone G3s on the rear will i still be able to drift on em and still be able to iniate the drift with a cltuch kick or watevea ... and hold the slide ..... and get some smoke on a sayyyy na 4age'd powered sprinter with decent setup.
sorry for the dumb question ... im at work and bored .. =P

195/50s are your friend
but go for turbo
you'll probably struggle to spin them very well with an NA 4age, and you definately wont get smoke (unless u like handbraking)
yes
but with Turbo assistance
need proof??
Ant's Kaizen Garage AE86 (the blue one)
runs 15x9 Watanabe's
im using 195 roadstones/regals/maxis on 7.5" rim spun by a 4agze.
its easy to initiate drift but on long corners it dies in the arse. i could prod get away with 185's.
as for smoke, it more like a fart.
who needs smoke anyway... youll jsut have to go quicker work it for the slide etc...
^^^ kicking the clutch at that point is your friend
its not just an N/A thing
i remember watch Beau back at the first drift nationals at QR and he was just kicking like a rented mule all through turn 2
my mate had 8's on the back of his 20 valve. awesome for grip but ghey to slide on
stroked 2L ca18-ae86 in the build...eta xmas 2012?
