well, i hear it all the time who's the stig, its simple really.
back in the early days, tiff nidel used to do the top gear test driving, then he went to channel 5(5th gear).
so why would they need to hide who the stig is on top gear, cause its tiff, i sat on u tube last night watchin countless episode new and old and i agree with my scottish mate who first told me this theory.

it has to be tiff, why would they have to hide it, and u look at the test laps not the proper one, he drifts the same he powerlides the same, and he fucks up the sme occaisionally, its tiff
on another note, there will be a aussie version of top gear. who will be the stig now!

I'm pretty sure its not Tiff Needel, Tiff is an accomplished circuit racer but I doubt he could match the Stig.
I reckon its an ex F1 driver - maybe Johhny Herbert or Damon Hill or similar. Apparently the first Stig (Black Stig) was Perry McArthy, ex F1 driver.
Maybe its more than one man??
There is a vid somewhere, of the stig talking, it is scarily close to damon hill hence my theory
