Longer wheel studs

hey guys,
Before you start baggin the crap out of me for my 'newbiness' let it be known that several searches were conducted before starting this thread with no bingo!
Anyway, I recently updated my front end on the 86 with ajps coilovers,jdm brakes and a set of ol'scool Performance Spectra (?) meshies that are 15*7 +10 offset. Unfortunately with the coilovers adjusted down to their lowest position (the only position!) the lower spring nut rubs against the tyres. Only just mind you but enough that I shit it everytime i head into a corner.
So I bought some 6mm wheel spacers but unfortunately now I cant even get the wheel nuts to grab the stud. After speaking to an engineer at work it turns out I need an additional 12mm of thread over stock. Ive spoken to Dave from AJPS but the studs he can get his hands on are only 6mm longer than stock.Apparently later model landcruisers are a direct replacement and provide an additional 12mm of thread over stock sprinter bits.

So, does anyone have any experience with this? Is the Landcruiser idea fact or fiction? If fact, exactly what model troopy should I get the studs from? Any part numbers I can use? Any other ideas or suggestions? Any suppliers in Adelaide? Apparently Nice products have them but I need a part number...

Go to Sprint Auto/Repco get some "Nice" Wheel Studs NS3400 which are M12x1.5 about 25-30mm longer than std and about $5.50ea.

You can get ones from Hilux's, which are alot longer, ask Craig_AE86 about that one.

Also i think Sigma studs are 15mm longer

I've just done these. I think David Lawson may have posted this earlier in the thread. Interestingly I had two different size studs on my AE86. The sigma studs are either 8mm or 6mm longer in my experience depending on what you already have. I looked at a variety of mitsubishis and nearly all the 4 stud cars run the same wheel stud across a few generations.

So probably too short for your needs.

Most Toyota studs could be used, and I guess HiLux of HiAce ones would be good.

You can use Lancruiser HZJ80 in theory, not sure of length. But you can't use late model Landcruiser JZJ105, HZJ105, HDJ100, UZJ100 etc, they use bigger studs and nuts. You use a 21mm socket on normal Toyota wheel nuts, newer Landcruisers use a 22mm socket.

You can buy new HiLux/ old landcruiser wheel studs on e-bay. (Non-genuine, from China).

Ive ordered some Nice ns3400 following everyones advice and am going to have a shot at ramming them in this weekend
Repco sure stood up to their name and charged a whopping $12 per stud and nut ($96.00 just to do the front)
