Default Eds ca18det ke70 - the worst choice

    howdy
thought why not post some pics up of my bus, make you all feel better about yours!!

sold my 20v ae86 and for about a day thought ''cb drift cars, too much drama''
a day later i was on the plane to adelaide to pick this up
now firstly i must point out the previous owner of the car did stress to me the condition of it, so i'm in no way badmouthing him.
the trip back was epic, pinion bearing let go and it made a bandsaw spec noise the whole way home (9 hours not including spirit of tas trip)
i'll post a vid up soon of the noise it made, have never heard anything so loud.
thats cars tho, still the old ca bumbled along for the 900km trip without a drama really. peaked pretty hard too which was a bonus
had barely had it in tas that long and bang, defected, too low, too much front track, no airfilter and a bare wire in the engine bay (just one).
so since then it's been off the road
rust repairs, engine TLC, reduction of front track, guard mods to allow more caster, fixed the mental diff (crownwheel teeth were actually sharp, it had that much play!) fixed the external 'gate, tried to hide some wiring (reckon i'll go a haltech soon, cb your stock ecu) and thats where we're at now

specs of the bus of much woe
    ke70
    ca18det
    stainless highmount manifold
    t28 tur bro
    external 35mm 'gate
2.5 inch straight thru exhaustion pipeage
    gtr 440cc injectors
    no name FMIC
ecu tuned by jeff at speedlab
countless mulitcoloured bits of hose (i'll change that soon...if it's not too hard)
    ca18 box
don't know the clutch but pretty grabby and can't spin it.
    s13 crossmember
    r31 lower control arms
    modified steering knuckles
    lock spacers
s13 coilovers (some jap brand i can't understand, feel good)
falcon chop chops in the back
    monroe softish shocks
    locked t series
whiteline swaybar rear, stock up front
    surgetank
some bosch pump that is smaller than an 044
apexi rsm (right now is only a r*m, need to hook up the speed bit)
15x8 o offset NOT JDM SO DIE YOU GAY C**T more commonly known as sportmax 002s
adrenalins up front, direzzas at the rear

    as she sits now...

dog can prob drive better than me
thats all i can think of for now
right now it's woeful but i promise Ã#t'll come good soon, i've got daim (skidke70) helping me and forcing me to make a half decent job of it so thats a plus!
here some of the in progress photos
played about with a few things, timing etc and took it for a spin tonight
FCK me it shifts out, i hate it cos it's got a ca, but man it chalks 2nd roll on and third is a clutch dab away. makes me smile!

yeh i wanted to say hi but the drama involved in the trip home was beyond loose.
should have come said hi and had a night out, wouldn't have changed my arrival to tas time

the man with his hand on them in the above photos takes the credit for the hard work in them, daim cut out 60-70% of the old guard and welded new metal in, then shaped them, all i've done is bent, swore, grinded, bogged, sanded, swore, reshaped, rewelded and re bogged them.
they both aren't finished yet but no reason you couldn't do it in a weekend.
we've just had ALOT of other stuff to fix up on the car, only now do i feel safe driving it.

t28 is proving hard to track down j-ho.
may settle for another t25g and rising rate fuel pressure reg to get just a lil more fuel in there. make it safe so i can try an keep up with you!
