dont be silly just get ra40 tie rod tubes and new rack ends
im 99% sure there is not enough thread using stock 86 set up
neway just get adjustable lca's sigma arms arnt good for steering arms
hey all, i got a set of sigma arms, i have heard work that u can use ae86 tie rod ends with theese arms but u dont get the desired thread length into the tie rod end
my question is, will i have enough thread whilst using RA40 struts and steering arms?? as the steering arm reduces track slightly therefore moving tierod end in like 5mm
cheers, brendan

JAPANESE DOMESTIC MARKET AS F*CK!!! hmmm, when you prenounce it properly, it sounds gay how bout that.
just copied this straight from the tech article "how to get camber"
Sigma lower control arms.
these are from a GH sigma with press in ball joint. these arms give a 60mm total track increase and close to -5 degrees camber. obvious disadvantages are increased inner edge tyre wear, straight lone braking can also be comprimised due to less of the tyre being in contact with the road. these arms have to be used with RA40/60 celicas RACK ENDS to ensure the correct toe setting can be reached. cost depends on wrecker, but you should be able to get the parts you need for around the $100 mark. requires some modification to inner arm bush to fit, (grind a bit of the steel tube section down, so it fits betwwen subframe)
so i guess ra40 is the way to go?
edit: fixed up, thanks gilly

it should read RA40/60 RACK ENDS
the rack ends have longer thread
you could use ra40 TIE RODS. as they are adjustable at both ends (steering arm, and rack end). so they end up being maybe 20+mm longer. would be up to 50mm longer at a reasonable adjustment?.
i have ra40 struts in my rolla, be warned the steering arms are 15mm longer then stock ae71 arms, and the bolt pattern on the bottom of the strut is different, so you cant run ae86 PS arms. =less lock :|

so how much thread is in the tie rod end at correct toe setting ??? for people that didnt read right i am using ra40 struts and steering arms therefore less track this is why i got sigmas, it wont give as much track as usual coz the steering arms sit the strut in further so it will give a bit more than coronas but not as much as sigmas do with ae86 gear, this is wh im asking if i can get away with using ae86 tierod ends coz if i dont have to buy new ones i wont as im buying cusco gear from ajps when money allows
