Hello, I'm from Iceland and I have one of the few AE86 left in iceland, there are about 15 ae86 here.
It's in slow restoration, the engine and gearbox are good, the boddy has never been in a serious accident, the front end and the engine bay is rust free, and the floor is also good. But the rear end is rusted and the sides below the doors.
But we have managed to fix allot of the rust, but there´s a lot to come.
I have bougt front fenders, clutch and more.
I also have bought a crashed rally car to get spare parts, like a LSD (not original) and more. here are some pics, we started this about a year ago.

    Interior looks okay

Checking if it could go red again

Here is the rally car I'm using for parts

Some very hard to repair rust, but the good news is that the carpet will hide it once it's repaired

you mentioned they you brought that rally car for the lsd (one good part im sure there is more). incase your not aware, there is a huge amount of aftermarket tuning parts for ae86, mainly in japan and the usa.

looks like quite a bit of work, must be handy to have those kind of machines handy (large metal press for bending new sil panels)

Wow, that's a very comprehensive restoration you've got going on there!

    Very impressive.

I look forward to seeing it when it's finished!

    Best of luck
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (HiLtOn @ Dec 19 2007, 10:41 AM) </div>Thanks, this bolt on the diff is just tempo, so i can drive it between the garage and the workshop.

I got the rally car very cheap with a good engine and a rebuilt gearbox, bilstein and koni shocks and TRD LSD.

I got it for 800 dollars.

The car will be most standard in the beginning, i will finish body work before going into any mayjor tuning.
