I have a "bigport 4age" engine sitting here, thats all I know about it.
It has 8bolts on the flywheel, which I thought was 4agze and 20V only?

Here's some pics can provide more. Any insight into what exactly it is would be appreciated.

4age have 8 bolts for the flywheel, 4acs have 6... not sure what your block is though... how many ribs on the other side? not sure about the fly cuts on the pistons?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (RobertoX @ Dec 21 2007, 07:44 PM) </div>Ah righto cheers. There are 7? ribs on the other side. Apparantly they are forged pistons, so might not be best to go off them.

Can you identify them from engine numbers?

mmmm dishy lol either a gze or a built motor, cleanin that carbon and gunk of the tops of the pistons might give u an idea

and buy the water outlet on the side, usually where the bleed bolt or what ever it usually is on a 4a, she been coolin some sorta charger, could be wrong the bores arent bad either, from what i can see anyway. bit shiny tho

If it was a gze, it sure aint using a standard crank pulley from a gze (looks to be an na pulley).

yeah GZE or built motor, thats what I'm trying to figure out. I believe the water outlet on the side was used for the turbo.
If I take pics of the crank/rods can they be identified as either GZE or GE?

Bores still have hone marks in them...
